Check Up at the Milano Design Week

The Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone, lead events in the design domain, saw the success of Check Up integrated technologies. Major brands within the furniture domain have chosen Check Up’s components to innovate their furniture and accessories. For instance, Aircub, an IOT (internet of things) device that purifies and sanitizes the air in small closed rooms such as cupboards, shoe racks, or sink / bin bases was present in many stands, including Molteni & C, Dada, B&B Italia, Porro, Group Tomasella, Former Busnelli, Jesse, Febal, Misuraemme, Tumidei; ITaudio, the integrated electronics solution to transform furniture into sound diffusion systems, animated the stands of Arper, Miniforms, Caccaro, just to name a few.

Itair, the technology that purifies the air by exploiting the natural filtering action of the plants’ root system, was also present at the Fuorisalone, at Estel and within the Biosphera Office project. This latest project by ActivHaus aims to create modular living spaces that can bring well-being to the people who live there, thanks to the most innovative technologies available on the market. In the Biosphera project, Office ItAir is included in Dieffebi’s DotBox office furniture, designed by Hangar Design Group: ItAir is in fact a technological design solution that can be completely integrated into furniture and furnishings.

Check up during the Design Week was also involved in events such as Hi hack !, held in Piazza Castello in Milan. This event emphasized the ecosystem of companies dealing with the promotion of electronic-based furniture innovation, bringing everyday’s objects into the IoT domain. The CEO of Check Up, Michele Carlet, spoke about the experience of its company, sector leader, and how fundamental the contamination of design with technology is.
